You are a Powerful Leader
If I said to you, “you’re a powerful leader”, most likely you’d fob it off. These words at best lead to awkward overwhelm and more often than not, just get dismissed. My belief is that we are all powerful leaders. We are all doing our best with what we have where we are.
Many of us are subject to ‘not enough-ness’ which is pandemic in its reach and keeps us from doing the things we know to do. It subconsciously fulfils the limiting self-beliefs delivered by your inner critic. “You can’t possibly…” and my fave, “Who do you think you are…” Sound familiar?
These are things that hold me back every day, and for years I succumbed to it. My determination to break out of it has led me here. My desire to be surrounded by empowered self-aware changemakers leading the way to a better future has brought me to create something that feels like the best use of my skills to enable this desired future.
Will I stumble and fall along the way? Absolutely, we all do. It’s part of the learning process. Our pervasive fear of failure means it can be hard to get back up and to put ourselves out there, but it’s time. Time for us to decide how the future will be.
I want us to feel a sense of agency to create a better future. I don’t want us to spend time agreeing on what exactly that will look like. I want us to take collective responsibility for the future we create. How that looks is different for each of us.
I am doing what I do best, facilitate experiential learning environments that leave people feeling empowered and transformed. I want you to be able to look me in the eye, when I say to you, “You’re a powerful leader,” and respond with; ”Yes, I am.”
